We had a guest in the Market today who had heard about our little artful shop from her mum.
"My mum fell in love with your place, so she sent me a link to your Facebook page. I drove here from Duncan today just to come and see you."
Grateful...yup, that's what we are.
CRAZY?
Nah! (?) Just CRAZY about knitting!
Five enthusiastic new knitters have successfully graduated from our inaugural knitting class in the Market.

There now exists a plethora of hand-knit toques in Bowser to keep all the Bowsarian heads warm for the snow we're expecting this weekend!
KNIT ON you wild and wooly women, KNIT ON!

Cruet Pourer? What the heck is THAT?

CRU·ET [kroo-it] - noun - a glass bottle, especially one for holding vinegar, oil, etc., for the table.

Artist Bruce Coney creates these wonderful "up-cycled" bottles on Salt Spring Island. They're perfect for olive oil, balsamic vinegar or even liquid soap or whatever your imagination can come up with!

Each "up-cycled" bottle is painted with a high quality glass paint, baked and then put on the wheel to give each bottle its unique character. A wonderful gift giving solution too!

Just $25 each

Nestled warmly in the woods on Vancouver Island there lies a magical place filled with artistic wonder and inspiration.
A place where all of your senses come alive with the textures, colours and flavours of the west coast.
It has become a 'must see' destination for all who have visited before. And for all those who have heard of our storytelling and magnificent creations, but have yet to discover the magic for yourselves...it's time.

Have you heard about Home and Garden Directory (HGD)?
It's a wonderful website that provides the largest online collection of hand-selected home and garden shops/services in the U.S. and Canada.
They feature high quality shops found in design and garden magazines, as well as those little “gems” that often only locals know about - the shops that provide outstanding service and unique items. (That’s us!)
They also have a terrific navigation feature that allows people to scope out cool shops to visit when they’re traveling out of town.
Follow this link to see our listing and enjoy this fabulous resource!

High Praise!!

We're featured on a wonderful new blog that promotes extraordinary unheralded places to eat, stay & play beyond Victoria!
Vancouver Island Beyond Victoria!
Writer Shirley Culpin became aware of the fact that many visitors think if they have visited our stunning capital city of Victoria, that they ‘have seen Vancouver Island’, and of course nothing could be farther from the truth. Her intention with the blog is to introduce her readers to the many great experiential opportunities that abound on Vancouver Island and introduce folks to the many unheralded nooks and crannies of this spectacular place.
Wow...we're honoured to be one of the first places Shirley thought of when she launched her new blog!
Visit VIBV to see what a fabulous resource this blog is…and of course to read the wonderful post she’s written about the Salish Sea Market!
